Intellectual Property and Takedown Policy

How Truearo handles copyright and trademark concerns, and how to ask us to correct, replace or remove a logo, image, text or link.

Last updated

We respect the rights of creators and brand owners and we act on valid concerns. This policy explains who owns what on Truearo, how to report a problem, and how we review and record each report. It is general information and not legal advice.

Our content

Unless a page says otherwise, the original text, illustrations, layouts and tools on Truearo belong to Truearo. You may quote short excerpts with a clear credit and a link back to the page. Please do not copy full articles, scrape the site, or republish our illustrations without written permission.

Third-party material on Truearo

  • Names and logos of products appear only to identify them. See the Trademark Notice.
  • Quotations are short, attributed and linked to the original.
  • Links point to the original public source. We do not hotlink third-party images or embed media without permission.

How to report a concern

Use the Report Content form. Choose Copyright or Trademark and include:

  1. The address of the page on Truearo that contains the material.
  2. A description of the work or mark you own, and where the original is published.
  3. Why you believe our use is not authorized.
  4. Your name, email and, if you act for someone else, who you represent.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized, and that your information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  6. Your typed signature.

The form asks for these items. For broken links, factual errors or privacy concerns, you only need the page address and a clear description.

How we review

  1. Receipt: every report gets a reference number and an acknowledgement by email.
  2. Logging: the report and every step we take are recorded in a private log.
  3. Interim action: where a claim looks credible, we may hide or remove the material while we review it.
  4. Decision: we correct, replace or remove the material, or we explain why we are keeping it. We may ask you for more information.
  5. Reply: we tell you what we decided and what we changed.

Brand owners and rights holders can ask us to remove or replace a logo, image, passage or link, or to change how a mark is shown. We will act on valid requests promptly and update the affected pages.

If you think a report is mistaken

If we change or remove something and you believe the report was wrong, tell us through the contact page with the reference number and your reasons. We will look at it again.

Misuse of this process

Please do not submit knowingly false or abusive reports. Claims that are made in bad faith may have legal consequences for the person who makes them.
