Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Truearo, the independent website at truearo.com, handles information connected with visitors, messages and newsletter subscriptions. Truearo is developing an editorial publication focused on software, tools and practical business decisions.

Information that may be collected

When you visit the site, technical systems may process IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, referral data and security events. This information is typically used to deliver pages, diagnose problems, prevent abuse and protect the website.

If you voluntarily send a message, we process the contact details and information you provide so that we can understand and respond to your inquiry. If you sign up for a newsletter when subscription is available, your email address and consent status will be used to manage that subscription.

We do not ask visitors to submit passwords, payment card numbers or sensitive personal records through ordinary contact messages.

Hosting, security and service providers

The website uses WordPress and web hosting provided by Hostinger. Cloudflare is used for DNS and related infrastructure services, which may involve routing traffic and processing technical and security information. Information processed by these providers is subject to their contractual arrangements and privacy documentation.

For newsletter management, Truearo uses MailPoet within WordPress. MailPoet may process subscriber addresses and subscription activity when signups and sending are configured. A newsletter subscription is voluntary, and marketing emails should include an unsubscribe option.

Cookies and similar technologies

WordPress and connected services may use cookies or similar storage for login sessions, preferences, security and site operation. Optional analytics, advertising or other services may introduce additional cookies after they are enabled. Some cookies may be placed by third parties.

For more detail, see our Cookie Policy. Depending on the technologies enabled and where you are located, we may ask for consent before placing nonessential cookies.

Advertising and affiliate links

Truearo intends to support its editorial work through advertising and possibly affiliate marketing. At the date of this policy, this statement describes the intended model and does not mean all advertising services are active.

If Google advertising services are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and other information in connection with ad delivery, measurement and, where permitted, personalization. We will update relevant disclosures and consent controls before activating ad technologies that require them. See Google’s advertising technology information for additional detail.

Some article links may eventually be affiliate links. A relevant disclosure will appear where applicable. An affiliate relationship will not change the price stated by the merchant, but prices and terms should always be verified with the provider.

Why we use information

  • To make the website work and respond to visitor requests.
  • To protect against spam, unauthorized activity and security incidents.
  • To manage optional newsletter subscriptions and consent.
  • To understand technical performance and improve navigation when analytics are enabled.
  • To comply with legal requirements and enforce website terms.

Sharing and international processing

We do not publish or sell newsletter subscriber lists as a product. Service providers may process limited information as needed to supply hosting, security or email functions. Because web services operate across countries, personal information may be processed outside a visitor’s place of residence. Applicable safeguards depend on the service and legal requirements.

Retention

Technical logs are generally kept according to the relevant provider’s retention and security configuration. Inquiry messages are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain necessary records. Newsletter records are retained while the subscription is active, subject to unsubscribe, legal and system requirements. No single retention period can accurately describe every provider and category of data.

Your choices and rights

You can decline optional newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribe from marketing messages. Browser controls may help you manage cookies. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or information about the processing of personal data.

Use the contact information on our Contact page for privacy inquiries. We may need to confirm that a request relates to your own information before responding.

Children

Truearo is a general-information publication and is not intentionally directed at young children. We do not knowingly invite children to provide personal information through newsletter forms.

External websites

Articles may link to other websites. Their practices, content and privacy policies are outside Truearo’s control. Read their notices before providing personal information or making a purchase.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the website’s features, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be updated to reflect material revisions.
